Who are Just CBD Pets?
Just CBD is a medium-size cannabis brand that makes a wide range of products, and not only for pets. Many of their human product lines are focused on the recreational rather than therapeutic market—think CBD jelly beans and bath bombs.
Just CBD’s pet products are Labeled under the sub-brand Just CBD Pets and take the same inventive approach as their human-specific line.
We think Just CBD’s extra flavorings and additives are an interesting feature, and may help convince suspicious pups to try CBD. That said, a focus on extras means their website is light on key pieces of information—things like the hemp strain, extraction method, and whether the plants were cultivated on an organic farm.
Just CBD does have its products tested in 3rd party labs, which can be viewed by entering a product’s batch number.
Best Just CBD CBD oils and treats for dogs
Just CBD Pet doesn’t produce a traditional CBD without any additives. Instead, they offer a range of tinctures flavored to taste like your dog’s (or cat’s) favorite dishes:

Each flavor is sold in the 3 different concentrations 100mg, 250mg, and 500mg, which helps owners to tailor the dosage to their dog’s size, weight, and condition. We’re impressed by the cost per mg of CBD of each of these sizes (with the largest size being just 1 cent per mg). Across the tinctures, Just CBD uses an isolate extraction, meaning that the oil doesn’t contain any additional beneficial cannabinoids.
Alongside their oils, Just CBD produces CBD treat options, each containing 100mg of CBD per pack, with approximately 18 treats in each package. Flavors include ‘Steak Bites’ and ‘Chicken Meatballs.’
These treats have a highly impressive cost per mg of CBD, which, at 0.20, is one of the lowest for treats that we’ve seen. Unfortunately, it seems that the low price can be explained by the use of filler ingredients. While the steak flavor does list whole beef, it’s placed quite far down the ingredient list, with fillers like ground corn featuring more heavily.
Noteworthy Ingredients in the Steak Bites include: CBD, ground yellow corn, corn syrup, glycerin, beef, red 40, titanium dioxide (artificial color), and potassium sorbate (to preserve freshness).
Noteworthy ingredients in the Chicken Meatballs include: CBD, wheat flour, chicken meal, rice flour, maple-flavored corn syrup, and fish meal.
Our verdict
Just CBD offers a well-priced set of CBD isolate oils and treats. However, their website is a little light on some important bits of information, such as the cannabis plants and the extraction methods used.
On the plus side, their flavored oils may offer a convenient solution for owners of dogs who just can’t stomach the taste of hemp, no matter how well it’s concealed.
